blogger's preset templates are cool man. no more browsing hundreds of lame blogskins. (lame because theyre always full of models or *gasp* pop idols!) i particularly like their 'nature' background images. so peaceful. isnt my blog background peaceful? so quiet. i feel cold just looking at it..
a funny thing i noticed on facebook today.
as we all know, big earthquake in japan. big earthquake + tsunami whoa!
everyone's talking about it.
you have the japan-crazed girl/guy (you know, the one who wishes he/she was japanese instead of whatever nationality she/he is) who posts something like 'oh no! japan! pray for everyone to be ok!'
and then there is the pervert guy who posts 'no!!!! the beautiful women!!!!!!!!!' or 'god save the beautiful girls!!!!!!!!!'
and then the crazy-environmentalist/paranoid-conspiracy-theorist will say 'ITS THE END OF THE WORLD! SEE ALL THESE NATURAL DISASTERS! ITS THE END!!!!!!!!!*runs around the room ripping his hair out*'
but thats not the funny thing i wanted to highlight.
the funny thing is that my facebook friends didnt really care about the christchurch quake (that last one, or the one before that last one, or the 10000000000 quakes before that last one).
they didnt care about that other quake halfway across the world that happened quite some time back. where was it again? south america? :S
well all this just reinforces one fact - japan has a lot of influence on my shallow friends.
kinda sad actually when you see how eager people are to cast away their roots and adopt another. no pride, no pride at all. (though i cant deny japan is amazing in many ways. eg anime > american cartoons (not talking about big budget american animations))
whoa. sometimes i feel like the government should make me some kind of youth ambassador. but right now im making lotsa conservativegranny statements. not funky at all. it is ageing me.
